How To Add A Gadget/Widget as HTML To Your Blogger Blog
Here is a very basic tutorial for people who are new to the blogger
platform. Blogger offers various gadgets, also called as widgets, that
you can add to your blog. These gadgets are totally free and provide a
variety of functionalities. Also, you can create a gadget/widget of your
own by writing the code in HTML, JavaScript, CSS and/or jQuery as well.
2. Click the little inverse-triangle and a drop down menu will appear. Select Layout.
3. Click on Add a Gadget (There will be several Add to Gadget links, you can click on any)
4. A list of various blogger gadgets will appear, you can choose any
gadget you want depending on what you need. To add a third-party
functionality or other code to your blog, click on HTML/JavaScript (Even if the gadget says HTML/JavaScript, you can add CSS and jQuery code as well).
Tip: You also have the option to enter the URL of any gadget you want from outside of Blogger. Click on the link that says Add your own and type in the URL of the gadget you want to add.
6. Now drag and drop the widget to your desired location. You're done!
